Have you claimed your Google Places page?

Local search is a new opportunity:

In September 2009 Google created 50 million Places pages around the world to help people make more informed decisions about where to go, from restaurants and hotels to accountants and plumbers. The Places page displays photos, reviews and essential facts, as well as allowing business owners to offer coupons.

The  ranking in the search is based on how complete the Places page is (including images and video), how many citations (websites your business is listed with) and how many reviews your business has.

Another feature of your Google Places page is that it comes with a mobile version of the page.

By claiming your Google Places page you can ensure that the information is correct especially the placement of the marker and more importantly keep up to date with reviews of your business.
